About Journal of African Language Learning and Teaching
JALLT is a refereed journal about the learning and teaching of African languages. It publishes articles, research studies, editorials, reports, book reviews and professional news and announcements relevant to African languages.
It is currently published once a year, and each manuscript is reviewed by at least two (2) specialist readers. Manuscripts are received year-round. All editorial correspondence, including those manuscripts to be considered for publication, should be sent to:

Managing Editor, c/o NALRC,
4231 Humanities Building
455 N. Park Street
Madison, WI 53706

Authors of articles receive two complimentary copies of the issue in which their work is published, while authors of book reviews receive one complimentary copy.

The language of publication is English. All submissions must be typewritten in twelve-point Garamond font, and single-spaced throughout (including bibliography, any notes, citations, figures and tables). Authors should submit an original copy and two clear copies of the article along with a 150-word abstract. The length of the article should be approximately 20 pages, excluding bibliography, tables, notes, etc. Longer articles will be accepted only on merit. All references and notes should follow the style of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 4th ed. (1994). Authors may request a copy of the JALLT Publication Guidelines from the Managing Editor of JALLT (see address, phone number and email address above). If an article is accepted, the author will be required to submit a hard copy of the final draft and an IBM compatible disk copy.
The publication of this journal is made possible through a Department of Education grant to the NALRC.
